Lakers Beat The Oklahoma City Thunder In Overtime, 101-98

The Oklahoma City Thunder gave the Los Angeles Lakers all they could handle on tuesday night, but the Lakers ended up winning in overtime by the score of 101-98 in OKC.

This game featured a great scoring night by the Thunders' Kevin Durant. That is until the end of the 3rd quarter and overtime. For the game Durant had 28 points, but he never scored another point after the 3rd quarter.

But even with Kevin Durant struggling late, the Thunder still took the Lakers to OT. Thanks to Jeff Green, who had 18 points, and Russell Westbrook, who had 12.

Kobe Bryant had 31 points including the go-ahead jumper with 2:29 left in overtime. And Kobe had plenty of help from his Lakers teammates. Andrew Bynum scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Ron Artest had 20 points. And rounding out the Lakers scoring was Lamar Odom, who had 13 points and 8 assists.

Kobe Bryant Scores 41 Points In Bounce Back Win Over The Atlanta Hawks

After playing like garbage at home against the Dallas Mavericks a few nights back at Staples Center, the Los Angeles lakers bounced back with a 118-10 win over the Atlanta Hawks sunday night.

Kobe Bryant went off by scoring 41 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in the win. The Lakers took over in the 3rd with an 18-0 scoring run over Atlanta. Lakers' center Andrew Bynum scored 21 points and Lamar Odom had 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Lake Show.

The Atlanta Hawks were lead by Joe Johnson's 27 points, 18 of them coming in the first quarter. Mike Bibby scored 15 points and Jamal Crawford added 17. Rookie Jeff Teague was impressive for the Hawks. He scored 12 points in the fourth quarter as he tried to bring the Hawks back. But too much Kobe is a bad thing for Lakers' opponents. And we all knew Kobe was going to come out with a big game after the bad loss against Dallas.

Lakers Lay An Egg As They Lose At Home To The Mavericks, 94-80

It has been a long time since I have seen the Los Angeles Lakers look as bad as they did on friday night against the Dallas Mavericks. What's worse is they were at home at the Staples Center and they were on national TV for the whole world to see their horrible performance.

The Dallas Mavericks took it to the Lakers, leading by as much as 20 points late in the game. It was a well balanced attack by Dallas. Dirk Nowitzki scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Mavericks. Shawn Marion had 18 points, and Jason Terry added 16, and Jason Kidd dished out 11 assists.

Kobe Bryant lead the Lakers with 20 points and Andrew Bynum had 14 and 10 boards. Shannon Brown added 12 points and a spectacular dunk, which was the only highlight of this game for the Lakers. The win by the Mavericks was their first at Staples Center since March 11, 2007.

Kobe And The Lakers Try To Repeat As NBA Champs in 2009-10

Kobe Bryant got his fourth NBA Championship last year as the Los Angeles Lakers took out Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic.

The Lakers 2009-10 season has begun and they will be defending their title this year. They play their second game of this young season tonight and they will take on Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks on ESPN.

The other night on TNT, the Lakers had their ring ceremony and it was really cool as NBA players from the past were there to help the Lakers celebrate. Players like Jerry West, Magic Johnson, Robert Horry and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

What cracked me up was seeing Lakers' player Adam Morrison get his ring. He did nothing to get that ring but ride the bench. Morrison has been a major bust since he was picked in the 2006 NBA Draft.

Just think about that for a second. Former NBA stars like Charles Barkley, Karl Malone and John Stockton played for years in the NBA and never got a championship ring. But the bench-warmer Adam Morrison has one..lol! Life is cruel sometimes.

Another funny and ironic thing was the Lakers were playing the lowly Los Angeles Clippers, who have never even sniffed an NBA Championship. The Clippers do have some good, young players like Eric Gordon, Al Thornton, Chris Kaman and the #1 pick from the Draft Blake Griffin. The Clippers can't catch a break because Griffin will be out for about six weeks to begin the 2009-10 NBA season because of an injury.

Oh yeah, Kobe scored 33 points and Andrew Bynum added 26 points as the Lakers dumped the Clippers in Game #1 of the 09-10 season 99-92.
